This documentary recounts the stories of four families whose lives have been forever marked by years of war in the Middle East. It provides a glimpse into the lives of several of MSF’s former patients and their journeys from injury to reconstruction. All the former patients in the film have undergone years of treatment at MSF’s reconstructive surgery hospital in Amman, Jordan.

Hassan, Qatada, Joud, and siblings Wesam and Reda, were all injured during the armed conflicts in their home countries of Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Their lives were turned upside down in an instant, and they still bear the physical and psychological scars of their wounds today.
