In this session, we will embark on a communal experience where we can begin to unburden our pains and start the elements of healing. Using the method of purposeful dialogue, in the form of talk circles, we will have time to discuss our feelings, experiences and allow them to be heard and acknowledged. We will also have a look at the data and concept of racial trauma and its impact on us and those we service. Lastly, we will begin to start to root and lay foundations of healing through community preventive and healing ointments. These are mental ointments to be used when we need to tend to our wounds and heal. This session will involve reflection, vulnerability and restore hope and justice. 

We encourage participants to take a bit of time for themselves prior to, or following this session. This is an optional session.
